Ram Charan's choice of heroine for 'Orange' has been widely criticized by one and all. Genelia was very much outdated by then and still Charan roped in her as his lead lady due to the insistence of director Bommarillu Bhaskar. However, he has learnt from his mistakes and is not going to repeat them in the near future. Apparently, Charan would be romancing three of the hottest beauties of current circuit in his upcoming films. Tamanna is roped in for 'Racha', Samantha will be Cherry's girl VV Vinayak's film and his lucky charm Kajal would be teaming up again for Vamsi Paidipally's movie. Though presence of Top Heroines alone may not make a flop into a hit, but they can certainly add spice to a successful film. In that case, Charan has got his basics right for his movies. Now the fate of all these movies depends on the writers and directors.

Is Raviteja's 'Veera' a risky project?

Every hero will have his own limitations both in acting and selling wise. Producers will be more careful in allotting budgets depending upon particular hero with whom they are making a movie. Then directors need to manage these resources optimally as per demand of story. But, here is one strange talk going round in film industry about the budget of ‘Veera.’ Obviously raviteja is Mass Maharaj with core strength in entertaining the mass audience. While inner sources say ‘Veera’ is made with an overt budget of near or above Rs.30 Crores which is highly risky compared by any standards of raviteja’s market reach. Sanvi Creations and Producer Ganesh Indukuri seem to have relied much on the success of ‘Mirapakay.’ As risk is the key word for big success, it is to be seen whether ‘Veera’ will have a reach above ‘Mirapakay’ or will it once gain be restricted to ‘Anjaneyulu’ or ‘Don Seenu’?

Mr. Perfect Movie Review

Behind the Movie: The recent soft lover boy image of Prabhas secured after ‘Darling’ will be examined once again with this flick in direction of Dasaradh. As usual producer ‘Dil’ Raju keeping too many hopes with presence of two beautiful heroines Kajal Agarwal, Tapsee and music from Devi Sri Prasad, here arrives ‘Mr. Perfect’ today into theatres. Let us see, how perfect is this film?    

In the Movie: Vicky (Prabhas) is a modern day perfect young boy dreaming high about future. He is working in Australia on dream project to start own animation (video games) industry. Vicky doesn’t believe in old ideologies. In order to stay victorious in life, he doesn’t mind hurting others by disrespecting their values and sentiments. He feels himself as ‘Mr. Perfect’ with no adjusting attitude.

One fine day, Vicky’s father (Nazar) asks him to arrive in India for attending sister’s marriage in their native village in a Coastal district. Other purpose of this visit is to make Vicky meet Priya (Kajal Agarwal), his old school mate and fix their marriage. Priya is a girl of self respect who finds her joy in happiness of others. Although Vicky and Priya are initially quarrelsome, they soon patch up and love buds between the two. Finally when Priya changes her priorities and interests getting ready to marry Vicky, he disapproves her reasoning incompatible mentalities. 

On his way back in Australia, Vicky meets Maggie (Tapsee) whose thought of mind is exactly same as him. When both of them get ready for marriage and approach Maggie’s industrialist father KP (Prakash Raj), he keeps an interesting test for Vicky to win his daughter. Vicky on his way to win Maggie by passing this test understands the true meaning of life. How did KP’s family change the thinking attitude of Vicky? How did KP win back his true love Priya? forms the heavy climax.

Values of the Movie: In shorter version producer ‘Dil’ Raju’s team has once again relied on an emotional story line comparing the beliefs and mental outlooks of past and present generations. Shades of ‘Orange’ and ‘Brindavanam’ are easily observable in the film. Apparently story was thin but script was burdensome. Dasaradh tried his best to make patrons glued to his emotions. Unfortunately slow narration and old pickled boiling family drama have taken a toll and director Dasaradh failed in these aspects. Dialogues by Abburi Ravi are quite interesting which can be considered as life line for ‘Mr.Perfect.’ Music by Devi Sri Prasad was good work for two songs and background sensed like a copy of ‘Bommarillu.’ Cinematography by Vijay Chakravarthy was fine while editing by Marthand K Venkatesh became weak in second half.  Production values of ‘Dil’ Raju are definitely remarkable.

Performance wise Prabhas got a new character with two different shades. The macho man well balanced the both and excelled in spelling lengthy dialogues with utmost feel. Surely Prabhas raised his acting standards appreciably shouldering the movie in compliance with beautiful Kajal Agarwal who looked awesome. She is undoubtedly won the hearts of audience. Tapsee enters in second half with a typical character quite matching to her energy standards. Self dubbing of Tapsee left a bad remark damaging her role. Comedy by Brahmanandam as Jalsa Kishore was a laughter riot. His presence saved the first half to maximum extent. Among others Naazar, K. Vishwanath, Prakashraj, Sayaji Shinde, Pragathi, Sameer, Kasi Vishwanath, Master Bharath etc well handled their roles. 

Out of the Movie: ‘Dil’ Raju’s confidence on sticking to his own psychology of repeatedly relying on emotional story lines hasn’t worked totally this time. Although there are few glitches of interesting and heart touching episodes but this is not a Perfect package to shine at Box Office. Prabhas and Kajal gave a delightful performance with superb chemistry which was not alone enough to pull the movie for two and half hours. Especially missing of emotional efficacy and depth of scenes in second half might cause a problem for movie’s success. 

All the village episodes with enough fun generating ingredients mixed in first half worked very well. Of course story moved hardly by an inch. Yet first half is easily passable with an expected interval bang. Second half is where actual movie unfolds which lagged to entertain audience with inconsistence and slow storytelling. In particular lengthy, exhaustive second half served negative for entire film.  

BO wise a section of family audience might like the overdosed emotional and sentimental scenes with Prabhas leading from front. Other wise ‘Mr. Perfect’ is an old wine in new bottle. 

Final Verdict: Not totally Perfect!

It is well aware that aggressive star Gopichand has teamed up with director Krishnavamsi for his next flick, tentatively titled as Mogudu. The latest news is pretty actress Kajal Agarwal has been roped in for the female lead role in the film. This is the second film for Kajal under the direction of Krishnavamsi, first being Chandamama with which she received a much needed break.

Initially Richa Gangopadhyaya was approached for the role. However, Kajal Agarwal is said to be finalized as Richa could not allocate her dates. Nallamalupu Bujji will produce the movie and Kalyani Malik will score the music. Mogudu is touted as a romantic action entertainer.

Veera, biggest budget film in Ravi Teja’s career!

Ravi Teja starrer Veera is said to be the biggest budget film of his career till date. Veera is a full-fledged commercial mass entertainer, where Ravi Teja is playing a dual shaded role.

Being directed by Ramesh Varma and produced by Ganesh Indukuri under the banner Sanvi Productions, Veera has two sizzling beauties Kajal Agarwal and Tapsee. While Kajal is playing a full-length mass role, Tapsee will be seen as IT student. Kick Sham is playing a police officer and Nagababu will be seen in another important role.

As per the details given by film-makers, the film totally has eight huge fights, which remain as highlight of the film and has seven songs. Chaitanya, Kajal film in last leg of shooting

Naga Chaitanya, Kajal Agarwal’s undershoot film in the direction of Ajay Bhuyan has completed its most part of its talkie part. Director Ajay Bhuyan informs that the shooting part has been delayed due to the strike in Tollywood and so he needs 10 more days to wrap up the talkie part.

After the talkie part, the unit will fly to US to film a song and Europe to picturise 3 songs. The other couple of songs will be filmed at Hyderabad on lavishly designed sets.

Produced by D. Sivaprasad Reddy on Kamakshi Kala Movies banner, the film has Sriram, Samyukta, Dr Brahmanandam, Rahul Dev, Mukesh Rishi, Kelly Dorge in key roles.

‘Mr.Perfect’ skips from Pongal race

Prabhas new film, ‘Mr.Perfect’ which is scheduled for Pongal release, now seems to get postponed. The postponement is due to the ongoing strike in Tollywood. The strike resulted in the stall of all new film shootings and the producers who scheduled the release dates are now looking for new dates to release their films.

Sources say, Dil Raju, the producer of Mr.Perfect is in plans to postpone the release to either end of the January or to early February. Kajal Agarwal and Tapsee are playing the female leads in the film and Dasarath is directing the film. With Mr.Perfect backs off from racing, the competition is likely to reduce for Pongal.

Naga Chaitanya’s new film under the direction of Ajay Bhuyan is currently under progress. Ajay is being introduced to Tollywood with this film.
