He is father for 'Mogudu'

Natakireeti Rajendra Prasad is the true artist who is pertaining himself to the roles that better suit his age. Off late offers for Rajendra Prasad are sliding down and he is yet to re-establish the character artist image. Enjoying the star status in 80’s and 90’s, advent of young comedians and dearth of proper comedy dealing directors made Rajendra Prasad’s career to go on back foot. Although Rajendra Prasad always looked for importance of his character in the movie has confined to a father role in recent hit ‘Aa Naluguru’ and ‘Bava’ which was gone unrecognized. Insiders come up with a report that Rajendra Prasad agreed for father role of Gopichand in the film ‘Mogudu’ which is opened today. Krishnavamsi directing the flick has gone for a full length key character and hope that Natakireeti strikes back with this.

Kajal joins hands with Gopichand for Mogudu

It is well aware that aggressive star Gopichand has teamed up with director Krishnavamsi for his next flick, tentatively titled as Mogudu. The latest news is pretty actress Kajal Agarwal has been roped in for the female lead role in the film. This is the second film for Kajal under the direction of Krishnavamsi, first being Chandamama with which she received a much needed break.

Initially Richa Gangopadhyaya was approached for the role. However, Kajal Agarwal is said to be finalized as Richa could not allocate her dates. Nallamalupu Bujji will produce the movie and Kalyani Malik will score the music. Mogudu is touted as a romantic action entertainer.

Puri to remake Sholay with Prabhas, Gopichand and Ravi Teja?

If sources are to be believed, the sensational director Puri Jagannadh is planning to remake the Bollywood’s all time hit Sholay. The movie which is a multi-starrer will have Young Rebel Star Prabhas and Aggressive Star Gopichand in the lead roles. The most interesting buzz in the film-nagar circles is the dashing director is trying to cast Mass Raja Ravi Teja for the Gabbar Singh’s role in the film, which is originally played by Amzad Khan.

Well, if the buzz turns true, the movie will definitely gain craze as tollywood’s biggest multi-starrer. But, at the same time, it’s not an easy job for any director to remake such an ever-green blockbuster like Sholay. Earlier, Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma burnt his fingers in remaking the same film that remained as the biggest flop show at the Box-Office.

Krishnavamsi to open her 'F' Affair

The cozy affair of huddling between action star gopichand and yoga beauty Anushka during the shoot of ‘Souryam’ isn’t forgotten that easily by audience. Both of them indulged in intimate lip kisses showcasing their on screen romance having the maximum of influence from their off screen affair. Later on, Nagarjuna dominated the rumor sections of Anushka dominating the poor gopichand. Now, creative director Krishnavamsi is to reopen the joint account of Gopi-Anushka with the film ‘Mogudu,’ title apt to their relation. Sources gossip that Krishnavamsi always had an eye on these two and now this might come as a blessing in disguise for Gopi who became unwanted after the failure ‘Wanted.’ Lucky that Anushka still wants it from Gopi. So, Krishnavamsi is to open their Forgotten affair Freshly again!

It is known that Gopichand is all set to act under the direction of Krishnavamsi. Now the latest news is that the film has been titled as Mogudu. Though Krishnavamsi has other projects with Nagarjuna and Ram Charan, as of now, he is taking Gopichand’s movie to floors.

The movie is being produced by Nallamalapu Bujji and the film-makers are currently finalizing the rest of the cast and crew of the film. The regular shooting of Mogudu will start from March. Gopichand’s Wanted has recently hit the big-screens but has failed to impress the audience. Let’s see if Gopichand scores a hit with Mogudu

Gopichand and Raviteja in Danger!

Despite both of them, Gopichand and raviteja being mass heroes; it is Gopi struggling for a hit while raviteja is on a success journey from last one year. A commonality between both of them is that, they select only the regular beaten stories and it is left for director to etch their characters innovatively including the action packed narration.  Gopichand’s ‘Wanted’ and raviteja 'Mirapakaya’ are run of the mill stories but latter succeeded and earlier one failed. Apparently a reason is that Mass Maharaj continuously pumps high energy levels into the movie while Gopichand failed to sustain the same. Never the less, both of them arrived at a stage of career where definitely a change in their movie selection process is needed else disasters are to invade them with in this year. Let us see, how they escape this dangerous trap!

Wanted Movie Review

Gopichand has stuck to his genre of movies and has managed to carve a niche for himself as an action hero. His equation with his female costars has earned him some fan following amongst girls too. It will be interesting to see if he has tried anything different with Wanted, his first movie this year. 

What’s it about: Rambabu (Gopichand) is a happy go lucky chap who does nothing for career, and doesn’t mind a ‘fight’ for the heck of it. Inspite of this, his parents love him completely because they think they have earned enough for him. Rambabu comes across Nandini (Deeksha Seth), a house surgeon. When the girl saves his mom’s life, Rambabu falls for her and chases her. After almost following her everywhere, saving her from goons few times, Rambabu gets frustratedand asks her what she wants him to do to prove his love for her. The girl asks him to kill Basava Raju (Prakash Raj) and company, as a revenge for killing her honest cop father (Nazar) and her entire family. Rambabu goes after the goons and kills them one by one.

What is Good: The first half of the movie has some interesting elements of narrative style. The director chooses to tell the story showing three different characters – Rambabu, Nandini and Basava Raju, and joins them all towards the end of first half. Gopichand is good in action scenes, though he has to get his comedy timing right. Deeksha Seth has a lengthy role compared to her two previous films and she looks cute in mostly traditional dresses. Prakash Raj, Nazar, Subba Raju, Ahutri Prasad, RK etc. do what they do in most other films too. Brahmanandam generates few laughs, and so does Ali in a short stint. The movie is interlaced with some laughable comedy situations which come from Jayasudha and Chandramohan. They bring all their experience to make some extremely cinematic situations truly laughable. Otherwise the story is a typical revenge saga, which starts off differently, focuses on the love story and then leads to action sequences.

What is bad: Cliche works to an extent. Almost every story we see has already been told, but it is the presentation that gives it a different feel. This is exactly where the second half of Wanted fails. Even though the writer wanted to add depth to Deeksha’s character by showing her at strange places with stranger men, we never know what she was doing there with them! The flashback episode, which was used to reason her character, focuses more on gore than on some originally done content! As a result we have a family killed in most inventive ways possible minus the emotions that such a loss can bring. Once we know the flashback anything after it becomes lengthy and the movie still takes few songs and fight sequences to come to an end.

Technical Departments: : Cinematography is just about good, though the songs have been shot decently well. Chakri’s music for the songs is good too, but he should do something more to accentuate emotional scenes in a movie. Dialogues are funny when required, but end up being too loud in ‘drama’ situations and too contrived sometimes. Editing is too sloppy and the actions sequences are too long to be digestible. Final Point: Wanted is a predictable revenge saga, that doesn’t have anything really exciting. It is only for Gopichand’s fans.Others watch it at your own risk.

Tollywood hot beauty Anushka Shetty has finally spilled the beans on her marriage. The actress recently admitted that she has already found her dream boy and they are planning to marry after two years. In an interview to a television channel, the actress has said that the couple will enter wedlock once she completes her projects. She says that it may take another two years to complete her handful of films. However, Anushka refused to reveal his name by saying that it would raise some eyebrows in the Telugu film industry. "If I tell his name, then it will raise many eyebrows. But, at this point of time, I can only say that am seriously seeing a guy and he loves me very much," the Bangalore Mirror quoted Anushka as saying. Till now she has been linked with many - Nag, Gopichand and Director Krish(Vedam fame). There is no chance of Nag marrying Anushka. Let's see if anyone of the other two does it.

Gopichand’s new film ‘Wanted’ has almost completed its shooting part except three songs. Currently the songs are being canned on the lead stars Gopichand and Deeksha Seth at Italy. This schedule will be completed by December 14^th.

The film is being touted as a stylish film with action backdrop. Wanted is being directed by a debutant BVS Ravi and produced by Venigalla Anand Prasad under the banner Bhavya Creations.

The producer of the film says, “The songs are being shot on Gopichand and Dheeksha Seth under Nixon’s choreography. With this the shooting will be over and on the other side post productions are going on at rapid pace.”

Gopichand and Puri Jagannath have earlier come up with a film titled, ‘Golimaar’. However Golimaar did not struck to the minds of audience well. Now Puri Jagannath is said to be in plans to make a film Gopichand again. The film will be produced by Nallamalupu Bujji.

As of now, Puri Jagannath is currently busy with the film ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ with Rana and Ileana in the lead roles. On the other hand Gopichand is busy with the film, ‘Wanted’ under the direction of a debutant, B.V.S.Ravi. Wanted is being produced by Venigalla Ananda Prasad.
