100% Love Movie Review

Behind the Movie: Naga Chaitanya and Tamanna joined the talented director Sukumar for this unusually titled flick on Geetha Arts. Music scored by Devi Sri Prasad already on the chartbusters, let us see how much % of marks did Sukku score with this ‘100% Love’?

In the Movie: Balu Mahendra (Naga Chaitanya) is an Engineering student at KBR College and also the college topper. He always wants to be Number One and likes to be called as ‘Balu is great.’ Now enters his ‘Maradalu Pilla’ Maha Lakshmi (Tamanna) into the same college and residing in Balu’s house. Being from a Telugu medium background Maha Lakshmi gets assistance from ‘Bava’ Balu and soon she tops the exams. 

Then on cat and mouse fights between the two for top rank gives a chance to other student Ajith (Anand) to become number one ranker in college. Maha and Balu get on to a compromise to beat Ajith in final year exams. In due course of combined preparation, they fall in love but egos stop them from sharing their inner opinions. Although Balu becomes the college topper, he isn’t happy for Maha because she feels that Ajith is still a better student than Balu. 

Clash of egos make them depart while Balu’s grandma (KR Vijaya) wants to see her grand son and grand daughter united for marriage. How did Balu’s grandfather (Vijay Kumar) living separated from his wife make this young pair realize the true meaning of love forms the key point. In between Maha agrees to marry Ajith and Balu agrees to marry his Personal Secretary Priya. Finally how this childish couple changed their self opinions form rest of the climax.

Values of the Movie: Sukumar touched a new, refreshing angle in college love and that too between the two college toppers. They are book worms yet they too have a romantic side. Once again screenplay is the magic thread for these kinds of movies. Hari Prasad seems to have worked enough but some how movie becomes feeble in second half. Sukumar’s strong mark was felt for first forty minutes of movie. Once the central point of movie is revealed when Balu moves away from marrying Maha, remaining portion of the film required strong concept and enormous depth in narration to unite the couple back. Here is where Sukku fumbled with pale stuff. Dialogues were funny and apt to the story line. Cinematography by Venkata Prasad is good especially in grabbing Tamanna’s sensible glamour while editing by Karthika Srinivas is also sharp and acute. Music by Devi Sri Prasad was excellent for two songs and background he impressed. Production values of Geetha Arts are also okay.

Performance wise Naga Chaitanya was at ease shouldering the college portion of film. When it comes to emotions, dancing, expressions and main content in second half…clearly his immaturity was visible. Tamanna was cute in both modern and traditional attires. 100% she dominated Chaitu in plenty of scenes and Sukku seems to have concentrated more on Maha character. Among others Anand, KR Vijaya, Vijay Kumar, Naresh, Dharmavarapu, MS Narayana and others are apt.

Out of the Movie: If you are a hardcore admirer of Sukumar’s concepts, then you obviously feel pride for first half and bored for second half. Entertaining first half is the life line for 100% Love. Narration was confusing and ordinary in second half. Even main leads couldn’t help Sukku in elevating the principal concept. Tammu and Chaitu were hands up with no adequate strength in their performances in second half thus degrading the final output. Although there are few moments and good filmy climax to relive but second half lacked in regular Sukku style of treatment. ‘Aho Balu’ song is where Sukumar was at his peak. 

Naga Chaitanya dancing to ANR numbers was a good episode but he looks funny. Tamanna might get the acceptance from public with this re-entry into Tollywood. Box Office wise, cool entertainment in ‘100% Love’ might attract youth to theatres in this peak summer season. With no other movies in fray for next few weeks, ‘100% Love’ may make its hold at Box Office for one to two weeks.

Final Verdict: Time pass youthful entertainer worth passing in first division.

Gossip:Anushka' Midnight Masala With Young Hero!

When someone portrayed the same kind of stuff in his latest flop flick, indicating the characters indirectly, industry is angry with him. But this is surely an eye opener for the realistic things happening in the Film Industry. On the other day, a bunch of film buffs are returning from a midnight show in popular Cinemax theatre before ramming their bikes on the posh roads of Jubilee Hills. All of a sudden, a costly greyish black RangeRover SUV has crossed them in a jet speed and decreased their chances of crossing it. Angered motorcyclist found their time to overtake it and the Rangerover was brought to a sudden stop. The bike riders were amazed all of a sudden! The guy in the driving seat is none other than young hero Naga Chaitanya. A look into the side seat revealed sexy heroine Anushka in inebriated condition, falling on the shoulder of Chaitu. When our shocked bike riding bluffs dropped their jaws, Chaitu managed to ramm his vehicle leaving no sight of him in seconds. What a say folks? Are the rumors of this hot couples extra-duty activities are just baseless or something is really cooking!

Bejawada Rowdilu on sets from March

Ram Gopal Varma’s next film Bejawada Rowdilu will start rolling its camera from 21^st March. Varma will glass-case the backdrop of Vijaywada rowdyism and politics in the movie and this time he has chose Naga Chaitanya for the lead role.

However, Varma did not reveal any further details of Bejawada Rowdilu except a song which was released a couple of months back. Presently, RGV is busy with the post-production works of his zero budget film Dongala Mutha which is gearing up for its release in the month of March.

Nitya Menon as Naga Chaitanya’s love interest?

We had earlier reported that Naga Chaitanya has been finalized for the lead role in the film Autonagar Surya. This Deva Katta’s directorial is touted as an action mass entertainer and Naga Chaitanya, for the first time will act in this genre.

The latest buzz in the filmnagar circles is that Nitya Menon of Ala Modalaindi fame is being considered for the female lead role in the film. However, it is yet to be announced by the film-makers.

The movie is set to move to floors in the month of March. Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya will complete his current projects with directors Ajay Bhuyan and Sukumar.

Naga Chaitanya as Autonagar Surya!

The wait is over. After a long buzz, director Deva katta has finally finalized Naga Chaitanya for the lead role in his new film Autonagar Surya. Earlier, there was buzz that Pawan Kalyan might play the lead role in the film. However, Naga Chaitanya has okayed the film and confirmed the news. Autonagar Surya is being made with a backdrop of Vijayawada rowdyism, which is being produced by Konda Krishnam raju.

On the other hand, there is also a buzz that Naga Chaitanya has given his nod for Bezawada Rowdeelu under the direction of Ram Gopal Varma, which is also based on the backdrop of Vijayawada.

Ramanaidu to produce a film with Naga Chaitanya

Movie Moghul D.Ramanaidu is in plans to produce a film with his grandson Naga Chaitanya in the lead. As per the sources buzz, the script is in progress and Ramanaidu has decided to keep the entire project details under wraps until everything finalizes.

It is heard that once the script will be finalized, Ramanaidu announces the film with a grand launch. The movie will be made under his prestigious banner Suresh Productions.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya will wrap up his couple of undershoot films with director Sukumar and debutant director Ajay Bhuyan. Soon after he finishes these projects, Naga Chaitanya will join with Suresh Productions team.

Chaitu ready to accept Tarak!

The deadly combination of legendary NTR and ANR is a memorable one for filmy lovers. Although they acted in good number of multi-starrer movies long back, Tollywood lost the glory of multi starrers with advent of new generation heroes who are severely affected by ego problems blaming it on the failure of story and script writers. All of the sudden craze for ‘Pathala Bhairavi’ and ‘Ramudu Bheemudu’ remakes has begun in the industry. One more surprising element is that youngster naga chaitanya has voluntarily come forward showing his interest to act in the remake of ‘Gundamma Katha’ portraying his grandfather ANR’s role. It is only the formal acceptance of Junior NTR required for the moment to get the move on sets and Chaitu is convinced that Tarak will agree the project very soon. Combination of Akkineni and Nandamuri will be a delight for Fans of both the groups and let us keep our fingers crossed to see when this project set will get on the sets. Chaitanya, Kajal film in last leg of shooting

Naga Chaitanya, Kajal Agarwal’s undershoot film in the direction of Ajay Bhuyan has completed its most part of its talkie part. Director Ajay Bhuyan informs that the shooting part has been delayed due to the strike in Tollywood and so he needs 10 more days to wrap up the talkie part.

After the talkie part, the unit will fly to US to film a song and Europe to picturise 3 songs. The other couple of songs will be filmed at Hyderabad on lavishly designed sets.

Naga Chaitanya, Tamannah flick in March

It is known that Naga Chaitanya is currently doing a film with director Sukumar under the banner Geeta Arts. Bunny Vasu is producing this youthful love story. The movie which was supposed to release in the month of December was initially postponed to January but now, it was postponed again to March. The postponement is due to the strike in Tollywood.

Talking about the release date Naga Chaitanya says, “The film was initially supposed to release in December. But, due to some date issues and technical problems, it got postponed. Now, we are planning to release it in March.”

Tamannah is playing the female lead in the flick and there is a buzz that the film is titled as ‘I Love You’. However, film-makers are yet to finalize it.

‘Ragada’ audio launched!

Nagarjuna, Anushka, Priyamani starrer ‘Ragada’ had its audio launch yesterday at shilpakala vedika grandly. Veeru Potla is directing the film and D.Siva Prasad Reddy is producing it under Sri Kamakshi Enterprises. Apart from cast and crew of the film, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Akhil, Naga Chaitanya, Susanth, Sumanth, C.Kalyan, Kajal attended the event.

ANR has released the audio and handed the first copy to Nagarjuna. The cast of the film has thanked the producer and director for their respective roles in the film. Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Naga Chaitanya, Kajal, C.Kalyan and others opined that ‘Ragada’ becomes a grand success.
