In the American legal system, the burden lies on the prosecutor to prove the defendant (presumed innocent) guilty. Conventional wisdom is that the soccer player would have to prove that he is not cheating in order to collect damages from the newspaper.

English libel law kind of works the other way around; in this case, it would be up to the newspaper to prove that their story wasn’t defamatory. A much harder supposition. In other words, if they say you cheated, they better be able to prove it.

British judges, acting on their own accord and through injunctions, are redefining privacy for citizens in the public eye. Instances like this would go to court and get resolved in favor of one side or the other, but the judges are blocking the stories before they are published. These judges are essentially saying, “This soccer player may or may not have cheated, it’s irrelevant, but it’s of no concern to the public. It’s a private matter so it’s not newsworthy.”

So we’ll never know who the latest soccer player was to cheat with Thomas.

Biography :

Born Imogen Mary Thomas on 29 November 1982  in Gorseinon, Wales.  Her father, Charle Thomas, was  an education welfare officer, and her Mother  Janette Radford. Her parents  separated when she was two years old, and after her mother remarried when she was six, she was raised by her mother and step-father in Llanelli, South Wales. Thomas developed Alopecia when she was six, loosing chunks of her hair.

Imogen Thomas has been working as a model since she was 13, and at age 17 moved to London to become a professional model. Working in bars to pay for her living costs, she was rejected from many modelling agencies due to her height.

Imogen Thomas reluctantly returned to her studies, and gained a degree in Health studies and Psychology at the University of Worcester. During this period she entered beauty contests, and was crowned Miss Wales in 2003, beating future Big Brother 9 winner Rachel Rice, who came third. She went on to represent Wales at Miss World in China. This prompted her to return to London to try glamour modelling, and also working as a bar hostess at London's Sanderson Hotel.

While she was in seclusion in the Big Brother house, a video was posted on the internet which allegedly showed Thomas and her ex-boyfriend, Leighton Brookfield, having sex. It was only after she was voted off the show and returned to the real world that she became aware of the existence of the online sex tape, and got her lawyer involved to look into the matter.

Thomas joined fellow housemate Richard in the House Next Door on Day 84 of her stay. With 62% of the vote of the public, she was finally evicted two days later, on August 11th, finishing seventh overall. Since emerging from the Big Brother house, the aspiring model and television personality has made a number of appearances on Welsh TV, as well as in a number of international publications.

Since her time on the Big Brother series ended, Thomas has become a glamour model. She has had covergirl shoots with Zoo and Maxim magazines, while she had long running contracts with the Daily Star newspaper. Thomas was in the running for FHM sexiest Woman in the world, coming in 58th. In 2008, she was included in the list of Playboy Bunnies on Playboy's website. In 2010 she shot her first calendar.

In November 2006, Thomas was voted the sexiest Woman in Wales, ahead of both Catherine Zeta Jones and Charlotte Church.

Thomas had a relationship with American Model Tyson Beckford, whom she first met at the Sanderson Hotel. Since her apperance on Big Brother she has dated Russell Brand polo player Jamie Morrisson, and Tottenham Hotspur Soccerplayer Jermain Defoe.

In July 2009 it was reported that Thomas was diagnosed with Swine flu following a holiday in Marbella. On return to the UK, she was quarantined in her flat and given tamiflu.

Born Kathryn Bridget Moynahan on Sept. 21, 1972 (some sources say 1970 or 1971) in Binghamton, New York, Moynahan grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts. Her father, Brad Moynahan, was an administrator at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.  Moynahan was the middle child of three, including two brothers,  Andy and Sean. A tomboy and avid soccer player growing up, Moynahan was also captain of her high school basketball team.  and chose to play soccer instead of attending drama class. As fate would have it, though, drama crept into her life as the years passed.

Upon graduating from Longmeadow High School, Moynahan decided to move to New York to pursue modeling and acting before continuing on to college. A stunning beauty with a toned physique, Moynahan quickly landed work as a model appearing in Vogue, Elle, New Woman and Shape, as well as landing the cover of Glamour magazine. Yearning to branch out from modeling, Moynahan began to study acting at the Caymichael Patten Studio in New York.

Moynahan made her television debut in a guest appearance in the comedy series Sex and the City in 1999, where she would later have a recurring role as the character Natasha. The following year, she made her feature film debut in Coyote Ugly. She was then cast in a supporting role in Serendipity (2001).
