Devi Sri Prasad overcoming the Young Musician

The young tarang in South Indian film music is Devi Sri Prasad. Debuting with support from MS Raju with the film 'Devi', he continuously proved refreshing and energetic creating a niche for his music. Off late in year 2010, the top position of Devi Sri Prasad is overthrown by other young blood Thaman. The debacle of 'Manmada Banam' left Devi Sri Prasad still go back in the competition but sudden tryst of destiny is that he is gaining back the market quickly. Thaman although proved partially successful with 'Mirapakaya', 'Ragada' and 'Brindavanam'; he surely failed to score the memorable hits like those of DSP. Film producers are quickly falling back upon Devi and flurry of offers including 'Gabbar Singh', 'Damarukam', 'Merupu' and 'I Love You' (Naga Chaitanya and Tamanna flick) marks the come back overcoming the wave of Thaman. Point to be agreed that Thaman never scored the foot tapping tunes like DSP.

Devisri Prasad to score music for Gabbar Singh

Pawan Kalyan and director Harish Shankar are currently busy in finalizing the cast and crew of their new film Gabbar Singh, which is the remake of Bollywood’s blockbuster Dabangg.

Music played an important role in Dabangg’s success. Sajid- Wajid, who was the music director for the original version received many awards and has reached the top position. And the item number Munni Badnaam Huee composed by Lalit Pandit resulted as a smash hit of 2010. Now, for the Telugu version of the film, Devisri Prasad is finalized as music director. Devi has earlier created magic by scoring peppy music for Pawan Kalyan starrer Jalsa. However, it would be a challenge for DSP now, to match his music to the original version and reach the expectations of Power Star’s fans.

Let’s wait to see if Devi Sri Prasad recreates the magic for Pawan Kalyan yet again.
