Zara Sheikh (Punjabi, Urdu: زارا شیخ; born June 1, 1982 in Lahore, Pakistan) is a famous Pakistani model, actress and singer.

Interesting Facts about Zara Sheikh:

1. Her father was in the Central Superior Services of Pakistan which would normally result in a life spent moving all over Pakistan. However, Sheikh was fortunate to have a stable home as her parents were careful not to interrupt her education at any time.


2. Sheikh's big break came while working with photography 'genius' Khawar Riaz, who promised to make her the next big thing.


3. Sheikh made her cinema screen debut in 2001, through Hassan Askari's “Tere Pyar Mein”. The movie completed a successful, year long run in Pakistani cinemas and swept the annual Film Awards in Lahore, bringing Sheikh her first Best Actress award. This was the first time a newcomer had won the specific award, let alone for their debut film.


4. Sheikh made her debut on billboards across Pakistan as the "JaZZ Girl" for one of Pakistan's prominent cellular service providers, Mobilink GSM. The ad campaign was an instant hit, and plummeted Sheikh to television and print ads for the brand. She remains the 'Original JaZZ Girl' and has built up an incredible fan base within and outside of Pakistan.


5. Sheikh has modelled for a large number of fashion designers and her looks have been described as "attractive," "fiery" and "ravishing." An article, focusing on Sheikh, calls her onscreen presence "spectacular".


6. Sheikh's songs have a received mixed response, with one source saying that "her singing ... require(s) some serious thinking" but "nonetheless, she has the knack to make her mettle in [the singing] arena” and another praising "her husky voice."


7. She came into the spotlight for her smoking habits, regarding which she said, "I know a lot of models start smoking because they want to kill their appetite but with me, I had to with the tensions that were suddenly invading my life and the company I was hanging out with. When everyone around you is smoking, you end up picking up the habit too.


8. Considered to be one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in Pakistani cinema. Zara is based in Lahore, although she travels frequently to Dubai, New York, Toronto and London for her acting and modeling assignments.

Carmen Soo Wai Mun (simplified Chinese: 苏慧敏; traditional Chinese: 蘇慧敏; pinyin: Su Huimin) is a British Chinese fashion model and actress.

At the age of 17, Soo ventured into modeling and left Malaysia at the age of 20 for Hong Kong, to pursue her modeling career.

At 160 cm tall, her petite size is not conducive to catwalk modelling, hence most of her shoots tend to be print and television commercials.However, she has had quite a lot of success within that area, gracing many local magazine covers such as NewMan, V Mag, NewTide and NuYou. She also has been recruited as the spokesperson for international watch brand Longines, along with Malaysian theatre personality Paula Malai Ali.

Soo landed herself a minor acting role in a Jackie Chan movie entitled 'Gorgeous' alongside with Shu Qi and later on played the leading actress in Aaron Kwok's musical special.

Her latest appearance was a stage play entitled 'The Girl from Ipoh' and a Celcom advertisement with Singaporean singer, JJ Lin. She owns a boutique named 'Kushi' located in Bangsar. Her most recent acting role is in Trio & a Bed, where she is one of the three female leads, together with Amber Chia & Annabelle Kong. The show also stars three other male counterparts as their various and overlapping love interests - Daniel Tan, and Jeffery Chong.
