Magadheera completes 500 day run

Everyone in Telugu film industry knows that the biggest blockbuster in Telugu is Magadheera. Directed by S.S.Rajamouli with exceptional visual effects, great cinematography and background music to help it,Magadheera was released on 31st July 2009. The movie ran to full houses for the first 100 days, and a theater owner in Kurnool were so enamored by it that they have been running it continuously, since its release! Today the movie completes 500 days of continuous running. There have been many movies like Sholay, Dilwale Dulhaniya Lejayenge, Prem Nagar etc. which have run for years together, but that was years ago. Today, many analysts have started to believe that finding films that can run for more than three weeks is a big achievement in the Telugu film industry. At such a time, S.S.Rajamouli’s Magadheera will remain not just an achievement, but probably the last of its kind landmark movie, whose record is impossible to break anytime in the near future.
